Working principle of a color sorter:
Color sorter is a machine that uses optoelectronic detecting technology to sort out abnormal particles from normal particles automatically based on the differences of materials in their optical properties.
Principle: After entering the machine from the top feeding hopper, materials slide down along sliding plates by the vibration of vibrators and are then accelerated and conveyed by the belt conveyor into the watching room of the sorting area. At last, the materials pass through the space between sensors and background plates. Under the action of light source, the intensity and color change of light causes the system to output a signal that will drive the solenoid valve to blow abnormal particles into the outlet for rejects, while normal particles will continue falling down and into the outlet for accepts, thus realizing the purpose of sorting.
